About the Game
The Project Win Game™ can be used to explore different project management challenges—from choosing between Agile and traditional/Waterfall approaches to making difficult decisions involving uncertainty, investment flexibility, AI, ethics, and stakeholder impact. The game provides first-hand knowledge of the impact of their choices.
The target audience is project sponsors, project managers, team members, scrum masters, or product owners who need to gain understanding, knowledge, or experience in project management decision-making or require comprehension of the difference between agile and traditional/waterfall projects.
The Project Win Game™ is a table-top game that simulates a 33-week project to build a smartphone. A smartphone was chosen as it is most likely common to all players and thus makes it easy to understand how a device may be constructed step-wise through a project. Alternative product developments or game modes are possible through the blank cards provided with the game.
Instead of simply discussing project management concepts, players make decisions, respond to changing circumstances, manage trade-offs, and experience the consequences of their choices.
